I have some exciting news that I’ve been putting together for months–Parkway Fellowship is going to Israel in 2022!!! I’ve led people from Parkway on four trips to the Holy Land and I’m telling you, it’s INCREDIBLE! You will never read the Bible the same again. Here’s some details:
The trip dates are March 21-31, 2022, so it’s just about a year away. Plenty of time to plan in your calendar and save your shekels to go. The trip will include many of the places where the great stories of the Bible actually occurred. We will sail on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus calmed the storm and where Peter walked on the water. We will go where Jesus taught the Sermon on the Mount and see where He feed the 5,000 with just 5 loaves and 2 fish. We will also visit the Temple Mount, see where Jesus was on trial, stand in the courtyard where Peter denied Christ, see where Jesus was crucified, and visit both sites that are the possible places where He was buried & rose again. I’m telling you, it’s amazing!
There will be an informational meeting on Sunday afternoon, April 25th at 1:30 PM in the worship center at the Westpark location. You don’t have to make a commitment to go, this is just for you to gather information about the trip and ask questions. I promise, it will be well worth your time.
I know, you’re thinking I’m crazy because there’s no way it’s safe to go to the Holy Land with Corona and all the conflict in our world. Actually, this trip will be extremely safe for several reasons:
- Israel has reopened safely for tourism. Since this is their #1 source of income, they have worked hard to make it as safe as possible from Corona and many other trips will have already gone by then. Additionally, many people will have completed their vaccine regimen by then.
- Our guide is ex-Israeli military who is in constant contact with the military about what is going on. If it’s not safe at a location, we will adjust the itinerary and go to a different location that day.
- If the region is unsafe as we get closer to our trip departure, we will cancel the trip and you will be refunded.
- The Israeli police/military maintain very tight security in the places we will visit and they are the best in the world at security. I’ve been four times and nobody in our group has ever felt the slightest bit uncomfortable when it comes to safety.
I’ve included a button on this page to download a trip itinerary so you can see where we are going to go. While we don’t have a final cost because it’s still too early to book airfare, plan on about $4,800 per person for the trip. The deposit for the trip will be $784 per person and the remainder will be due 60 days before departure. We can only take 35 people. The cost includes airfare, all hotels, all transportation, guide, tips, entrance fees, and breakfast & dinner each day. The only out of pocket expenses are souvenirs and lunch daily. That’s it! If you have airline miles you want to use, the cost can be reduced by the airfare.
I hope you’ll consider going! This trip would make a GREAT PRESENT! (early Christmas??) Even if you are just thinking about going, please come to this info meeting. It will be very helpful. Hope to see you there!!
