Prayer

At Parkway Fellowship we believe prayer is the backbone of what we do. We want to be a church that lays every burden and concern we have at the foot of the cross. Prayer is how we as believers of God talk to him. It’s how we make our praises and requests known. 1 John 5:14-15 says, “this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.”  Our hope as a church is that we will be believers that come boldly to the throne of God praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We want to share in praying for you in your burdens and we want to be a church who praises our God for his answered prayers in our lives. Please share your prayers with us so we can be praying for you and when God answers your prayers share your prayer stories with us as well.

“Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.” – Corrie Ten Boom

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.” Elisabeth Elliot

“God sharpens the world by prayer. The more praying there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil.” E.M. Bounds

Prayer Wall Policy: Thank you for entrusting us with your prayer requests. We are honored to pray with and for you. Please keep in mind that Parkway Prayer Ministry is not a counseling ministry and cannot offer any services to you other than our fervent prayers. Those who are uncomfortable with speaking on the phone can text “MHA” to 741-741 to speak with a trained crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line. The Child-Help USA 1.800.4.A.CHILD (1.800.422.4453) crisis line assists both child and adult survivors of abuse, including sexual abuse. The hotline, staffed by mental health professionals, also provides treatment referrals. All prayer requests submitted to Parkway Prayer Ministry are reviewed before being posted.

Hey, on Tuesday Nov 21st my nephew Ryan Prince is having a tumor removed on/by his hip. They don’t know if it’s cancer or not.

The challenge is that he doesn’t want any “hard drugs” in his system. So they will have to try by giving him a local. I don’t know how deep it is .

So I’m asking for prayer for him

Thank you so much!

I pray for guidance for my family since my husband lost his job twice in one year. He has had to work overseas for some time while I’m at home with small children and very little help. I pray that he seeks You through this hardship and is able to discern Your voice through all the noise of the world. I pray that he finds a job that views his work ethic and great qualities the way You and I do. I pray that our family is not uprooted as a result of a job change. I pray that our family and friends surround us and provide a safe and strong community to walk through this with us. I pray that we find answers quickly as the holidays approach and we are able to fully see the joy of the season and all that the Lord has done and is doing for us.

Please pray that me and my son can bridge the gap between us as he continues to transition home from the military. He has become very distant and our connections are very limited. Prior to the military, we were very close. Please pray to heal anything that keeps us at odds and that our relationship can be restored. Thank you.

I am asking for prayer for my marriage with my wife (Michelle). We have only been married since June of this year but she is ready to give up on our marriage. She has asked me to send her home & requested a divorce. We have struggled through many issues with misunderstandings & miscommunications. She is originally from the Philippines & sometimes the language and cultural differences presents problems that may not truly exist due to misinterpretations & assumptions. I am also struggling with my role as both a father to my kids & a husband to her. I need to ask God to help me a better husband for her & to help me honor Him with our marriage. I ask God to help soften her hardened heart & to help her see how much I love & care about her as my wife. I ask Him for clarity & humility in my steps in the days ahead & throughout our marriage.

I just want to thank you for the amazing sermon series. I watched online today. And then went back and watched the first sermon of the series.

I just sat on my knees and surrendered my personal life to God. I have been struggling for a long time. To accept and love myself. Always trying to fill in the void with other things. I watched church today online And it just hit home. I feel like whenever God talks to me I run. I listen to the devil and do exactly the opposite of what I should do.I don’t think I have ever loved myself of felt worthy of anything or anyone. Goes back to childhood trauma. But today I felt God speaking to me and I was actually on my knees. I am 55 and single. My husband left me in 2016 after 23 years of marriage for another women. But we were not on good terms. Since then life has been harder for me. Feelings of unworthiness, being loved, fitting in, being skinny or pretty. Dating after 55 is not fun. But I was looking in the wrong places.

God never gives up.

Prayer for me and my personal struggles.

My husband have been searching for a stable job where he doesn’t need to go overseas and be away from us. This has been hard on the family but we are trying to stay positive and believe that God will provide at the right time and he will put my husband in a position where he deserve. While this is hard on us another hardship and bad news back to back.

Now, with having this hardship. We found out my mother in law who has been battling breast cancer will undergo another biopsy again.

We are trying to be faithful and have faith but we need some prayers over our family as we all go through this rough times in life.
