At Parkway Fellowship we believe prayer is the backbone of what we do. We want to be a church that lays every burden and concern we have at the foot of the cross. Prayer is how we as believers of God talk to him. It’s how we make our praises and requests known. 1 John 5:14-15 says, “this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.” Our hope as a church is that we will be believers that come boldly to the throne of God praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We want to share in praying for you in your burdens and we want to be a church who praises our God for his answered prayers in our lives. Please share your prayers with us so we can be praying for you and when God answers your prayers share your prayer stories with us as well.
“Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.” – Corrie Ten Boom

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.” Elisabeth Elliot
“God sharpens the world by prayer. The more praying there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil.” E.M. Bounds

Feel free to submit as many prayer requests as you like! Hello, I'm a current student at SHSU and commute on weekends, working back in Fulshear at the nearest HEB on 723 FM. I pass by the church all the time and saw the board say you guys are doing prayer request so I felt like I needed to reach out. Lately, I have been in need of what I believe, physical and spiritual healing. I don't want to sound too detailed but lately I have a wisdom tooth, top right corner that has been bleeding for weeks now. I believe I have what's called health anxiety because I simply assume the worst about my body or the changes I may notice. I believe that's why I also need spiritual healing because I know this is something I have to trust God with. I want to be able to let go and give the praise to him and to not excessively worry so much. Overall it's been difficult trying to be consistent with my studies, I want to be able to find a good way to be financially stable and be confident about my future. I guess I've just been so negative and having health anxiety just makes everything feel worse. I'm exhausted but I'm somehow still finding a way to get up everyday and do my best at college and work. If anyone sees this, thank you so much for taking the time to read this and pray for me. I guess bottom line to all this is the uncertainty is what kills me and I'm praying that God takes all of this anxiety and worries about health goes away and I feel positive of the outcome of all. Please pray for my mom Lorraine’s salvation and pray for her healing. She lost her hearing, has memory loss, bad posture, body pain, and high blood pressure. Pray for excellent health. Also, please pray for salvation and excellent health and long life for my uncle Seve, aunt Jackie and Pray salvation, healing and long life for my mom's boyfriend Joe who has cancer.. In the name of Jesus Yeshua Hamashiach Amen . ... Please Pray GOD Blesses me with a life partner real soon in JESUS Name. I've been praying for this since 1995 I need sleep desperately. I average about 2-3 hours a night, sometimes more sometimes less. I have COPD so I can't breathe a lot and try to get comfortable while trying to catch a breath. I work at the church and volunteer a lot so can't sleep in the day time. Please pray that God will heal my lungs enough so I can get some sleep. Thank you and God Bless you all. Praying for our son 37 yrs old, Steven Jr, he is practicing shamanism. He has stopped speaking to us due to our Christianity. He also is in stage 5 kidney failure and recently had to bury his wife. Prayer for my son Ruben. He started daycare today and he had a hard time adjusting. I’m sad that he is so upset while he is there. Please pray that he not be so upset and that he would adjust quickly and that he would be happy and joyful while he is there. I work at the daycare and I just started and felt a bit overwhelmed since I’ve been out of the workforce for a while. And I was able to hear my son cry which was really hard. The hours are long so it was a bit much today for both of us. Please pray that things would sort out and that we could both adjust and be more relaxed and not so stressed and overwhelmed. Thank you! Please prayer for the health and healing of my daughter. Only God knows how to heal her. I pray that her body heals so she may continue to be a messanger of God's word. Please pray for Tim Hayes and children so that they may find god's comfort as they morn the passing of Susan this past Thursday. Pray that I will be given the promotion I have worked very hard towards. I have an interview this week. Pray that I will do very well and come across as confident and capable. Good morning! I miss seeing my church family on Sundays, but I have been listening to the podcasts! I’m asking for prayers for my brother. He is 41 and is in the hospital with liver failure due to alcohol abuse. He also had a seizure, hit his head, and had bleeding on his brain.
He was on life support but, because God is so good, he is doing better. He is now out of ICU and in a long term care facility, and just on a trach tube, that we hope will be removed soon. We are praying he gets better! I know God does amazing things, and I truly believe in the power of prayer! I feel like he will come out of this a better person, but prayers are needed for his recovery and that he will change his life once he recovers.
His name is Chris. He just got transferred from the Med Center to Methodist Continuing Care (where Christus St. Catherine Hospital used to be on Fry Rd.) Please pray for the nurses and staff there too. They have been so patient and caring. please pray for Susan Hayes. Susan had a triple bypass in 2022 and has struggled with complications leading to dialysis and congestive heart failure episodes ever since. She is currently in critical condition in ICU in the Medical Center.
Please pray that God heals her spirit so that she continues to have the strength to fight on return to her loving family. Please pray that God heals her body so that she can return home to her falily living a normal life for many years to come.Angel
