At Parkway Fellowship we believe prayer is the backbone of what we do. We want to be a church that lays every burden and concern we have at the foot of the cross. Prayer is how we as believers of God talk to him. It’s how we make our praises and requests known. 1 John 5:14-15 says, “this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.” Our hope as a church is that we will be believers that come boldly to the throne of God praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We want to share in praying for you in your burdens and we want to be a church who praises our God for his answered prayers in our lives. Please share your prayers with us so we can be praying for you and when God answers your prayers share your prayer stories with us as well.
“Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.” – Corrie Ten Boom

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.” Elisabeth Elliot
“God sharpens the world by prayer. The more praying there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil.” E.M. Bounds

Prayer for my Mom and Me
- That we will keep our boundaries, not enable him, love and support my brother, and also continue to work on ourselves to be better at supporting him. Please pray for my husband’s lifestyle change. He recently removed the bandaid of a job that kept him in bad spirits, negativity, frustration and all the emotions that were felt throughout our home. Pray for him to find peace and a job that will bring him happiness and to help our financial situation. Please pray for my mother who recently had a heart attack. She was blessed with her friend who was her angel and got her to the ER in time. Continue to keep her well and calm as she deals with recovery. She is the rock and handles everything for everyone and she needs to loosens the strings and let go of the things that cause her stress. Also prayers for my father as he is just beside himself. I had surgery last Thursday and my surgical wound has started bleeding, kinda slowly but I have to change the dressing every hour. Please pray that it will stop. Don't see the doctor until Monday.
